Margaux Vale

Margaux Vale grew up between Lyon and Sacramento, trained in London, and spent three years on fringe stages before Sable Hours made Iris Calloway the most quoted character of 2025. She co-wrote the short Salt & Ribbon, speaks French at home, and owns more coats than the costume department of her last film.

Chapter II

Roles

Eight credits on one reel, 2021 to 2027. Open any frame for the role.

Chapter III

Press

What the critics wrote, with captions on.

  • Vale has four scenes in the second episode and steals every one of them without raising her voice.

The Meridian Review Lena Fairbairn, on Sable Hours
  • The breakout of the year is the woman in the green coat. Vale makes Iris funny, frightening and impossible to look away from.

Lumen Weekly Theo Marchetti, on Sable Hours
  • A lead performance of rare patience. Vale lets the camera wait for her, and it is right to.

Projector Dana Okafor, on The Lantern Room
  • Her Lise is the reason to get a ticket, and the reason the run was extended twice.

The Saturday Ledger Miriam Holt, on Rehearsal for a Wedding
  • In ninety-seven minutes she says perhaps two hundred words. You will remember all of them.

Reel Notes Sam Achterberg, on A Coat for Winter
  • Her Friday videos have done more for the 1950s swing coat than any museum retrospective.

Atelier Quarterly Colette Ruiz, on Archive Fridays
  • Nominee Supporting Performance Harrow Television Awards 2026
  • Best Ensemble The Lantern Room Ashgrove Film Festival 2024
  • World Premiere A Coat for Winter Port Alder Film Festival 2023
  • Official Selection Salt & Ribbon Ashgrove Film Festival 2022

Chapter IV

Partners

Six brand partnerships a year, all with things she already uses.

Margaux takes six brand partnerships a year, in fashion, beauty and travel. She writes her own treatments, shoots most of it herself, and says no to anything she would not use off camera.

The camera on set is not always pointed at her. Margaux films the hours in between: call times, fittings, the walk to set at five in the morning. On Fridays she picks one vintage garment and tells you who wore it first.
